Each bracelet is handwoven and beaded by women artisans in Guatemala, and features a charming blend of colored thread and metal beads for a versatile look. Wakami is a fair trade enterprise founded in Guatemala by Cornell University graduate Maria Pacheco, collaborating with several rural artisan groups throughout Guatemala. A strong focus on community development, social entrepreneurship, and fair wages has vastly improved the lives of all the women artisans and their families. The idea behind Wakami is Dreams + Opportunities = Change. Can be worn as a necklace or wrap bracelet. Made of metal beads and waxed cotton thread. Measures 25.5" L with a slipknot closure. Handmade in and fairly traded from Guatemala.
